Kabineo
SaaS Product / Co-founded

Description
Kabineo is not a client project, it is a company. It started from a simple realization: the bespoke tool built for the Belho Xper firm solved a pain shared by every accounting firm, not just one. The same symptoms appeared everywhere: client files tracked in Excel, tax deadlines managed by hand, no visibility on team workload.
Rather than leaving that tool inside a single firm, we decided to turn it into a product. Kabineo is the result of that decision: a company co-founded to transform a field success into a market-ready SaaS, with its own brand, its own roadmap, and the ambition to equip the French accounting firm market.
My role goes beyond development: as co-founder and product and technical lead, I own the vision, the architecture, and the go-to-market.

My solution
Turning a proven bespoke tool into a SaaS product ready to host hundreds of firms required rethinking several foundations:
- ▸New brand and new experience: Kabineo identity, interface redesigned for self-service onboarding, with no bespoke support required.
- ▸Hardened multi-tenant architecture to host many firms on a single platform, with strict isolation of each client's data.
- ▸Generalized tax rules engine: what was calibrated for one firm becomes configurable to fit each structure's practices (VAT, corporate tax, financial statements, LMNP, individuals).
- ▸Proven technical core kept in place: NestJS backend, PostgreSQL/Prisma, Vue 3 frontend, already validated in production at the pilot firm.
- ▸Go-to-market readiness: subscription billing, fine-grained access management, and a journey designed for direct sales to firms.
Results
Kabineo lifts an internal tool to the status of a product: what was proven at the pilot firm (up to 60 to 70% less administrative time and zero missed deadlines) becomes a repeatable promise for the whole market.
The platform is live at kabineo.com and entering its commercialization phase with accounting firms.
Beyond the technical work, Kabineo validates the hardest trajectory for a studio: turning a client project into a co-founded company, with a product, a brand, and a market to win.
